March 2022 | Wrap-Up

A little delayed because I got a bout of covid right at the end of March (don’t get covid, covid sucks). Lots of books this month, though a lot more mehs then I think I usually read in a month. Hopefully my April reads will be better. I’m experimenting with adding a section of highly anticipated books for the upcoming month (April). I like the idea of making dedicated Anticipated __ book lists but I never have the energy to format one together so this seems like a good compromise for me.

Books Read:

The Way Spring Arrives edited by Yu Chen et al – 4/5

  • excellent collection of translated shorts stories and essays about CN<->EN translation

A Prayer for the Crown-Shy by Becky Chambers – 5/5

  • somehow Becky Chambers books always make me cry

Fevered Star by Rebecca Roanhorse – 4/5

  • pacing felt a little messy and suffers from 2nd book syndrome, but oh man the setup for book three

Blood and Moonlight by Erin Beaty – 3.5/5

  • a solid YA fantasy murder mystery thriller

Prince of the Sorrows by Kellen Graves – 3.5/5

  • m/m fae romance! with academia, libraries, and court intrigue
