Vengeful by VE Schwab

this uh… this has been on my TBR for a really long time and I’ve been lazy. eventually, one day, I shall actually get around to reading it

The Pheonix Empress by K Arsenault Rivera

I absolutely loved The Tiger’s Daughter, the first book in this series. my friend got me the sequel for Christmas and I can’t wait to continue the Asian lesbian romance between an empress and a ruler of nomadic horsepeople who’s slowly turning into a demon

Dragon Pearl by Yoon Ha Lee

Yoon Ha Lee’s first middle-grade novel! My copy finally arrived last Friday! Unfortunately I’ve been busy due to Nier: Automata homework, I’ve been too busy to read. However, I plan to get to it this weekend!

Senlin Ascends by Josiah Bancroft

I’m still not entirely sure what this book is about, other than that there’s this guy named Senlin(?) whose wife dies and so he decides to climb a tower because it’s somehow related to his dead wife??? Not sure, but everyone and their mother seems to be screaming about this book on Twitter so I guess I’m reading it.

The Bird King by G Willow Wilson

Ahhh my only NetGally ARC on this list (surprisingly) but definitely one I’ve delayed for far too long. I don’t know much about this one either, but from what I understand, it’s a historical fantasy that explores the interaction between Christian and Muslim cultures. Para from To Other Worlds gave it a warm review, so I’m sure I’ll like it!
